An account is completely optional. Every lesson, scenario, card, and article on this site is free to read without one. An account only remembers which lessons you have finished, so you can pick up where you left off on another device.
What an account stores: a username you choose, a display name, a password (kept only as a salted hash), an optional recovery email, and which lessons you finished. That is the whole list. We never ask for your real name, age, school, address, or phone number, and there is no advertising or tracking of any kind.
