Interactions with police and school security
Most interactions with police are brief and end fine. Knowing your rights isn't about expecting the worst; it's about having steady ground to stand on so you can stay calm. The two most important rights fit in one sentence: you have the right to remain silent, and you have the right to ask for a lawyer. Safety always comes first: keep your hands visible, don't run, and never physically resist.
