Peaceful protest and civic participation
You don't have to wait until you can vote to participate in democracy. Petitions, school board comments, community meetings, and peaceful protest are all civic tools young people can use now. The First Amendment protects peaceful assembly, and knowing the practical rules, where you can stand, what schools can do about walkouts, keeps your activism effective and safe.
