Rights at work for teenagers
A first job teaches independence, and the law is built to make sure it doesn't cost you your education or safety. The federal Fair Labor Standards Act limits when and how long younger teens can work and bans minors from the most dangerous jobs. You also have the same right as adults to be paid for every hour you work and to a workplace free of harassment.
